Thank you very much! I loved it I enjoyed the colourful diagrams, and the detail and the Information was short and simple, I’m in year 10 now that really helped for my new Science topic , which was work done and power πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‡πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ€©πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘©πŸ½πŸ‘ΈπŸ½πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‘‘πŸŒˆπŸ’«βœ¨πŸ’ŽπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ“©πŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆπŸ“šπŸ“šπŸ“”πŸ“”πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

I thought energy can be transferred out and in in a closed system but mass cant travel out? btw im not sure if im right im no where near my gcse’s

    • Cognito 2 years ago

Not quite – neither energy nor mass can enter or leave a perfectly closed system πŸ™‚

  • UK Drill News 2 years ago

Do you do any tutoring sir?

amazing!!! i have a tripple science exam in a few weeks, do you cover anymore topics ,like density?x

    • Cognito 2 years ago

Hey thanks for the lovely comment! We are in the process of releasing the rest of the videos! I don’t think density will be covered in time for your exam I’m afraid. But the whole of triple physics/chem/bio will all be ready for the 2020 GCSEs πŸ™‚

science teachers at school are awful but at least your here!!

  • Michael Preston 2 years ago

We are supposed to have moved away from the ideas of “forms” of energy.
It’s not complete for AQA; there are 4 transfers of energy and 8 stores (6 relevant to the exam).

Love the videos in general but this unfortunately this has missed a lot of the key teaching ideas behind the stores and transfers model of energy.

    • Cognito 2 years ago

Hi Michael, thanks for the advice, we will bear it in mind for future videos! This video is just meant to be an overview of the different ways that energy is stored and transferred – so that students can better understand all the energy changes involved when a system changes.

We cover more details on the stores like kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy etc and the methods of transfer like by heating (conduction etc) and mechanically (work done) in other videos.

    • Michael Preston 2 years ago

@Cognito No problem. I do actually really like these videos. I show them in my lessons and/or as homework as I would struggle to provide such an intuitive, visual explanation with awesome visuals.

This topic is annoying generally and it’s quite difficult to get the language right – electrical energy is particularly annoying as there’s no such thing as an electrical store.

    • Cognito 2 years ago

Yeah I know, it’s a pain to explain things fully when students only need to know a limited amount for the course. Thank you for the feedback though – if you ever have any thoughts on how we could make them better or more useful, please do get in touch!
